About Our Name Change
Our new name, BOLD FUTURES, gives us space to be our full selves.
For twenty years, we have worked to build reproductive justice in New Mexico by and for women and people of color. As we stepped into our 20th Anniversary, Young Women United wanted a name that reflected who we are today and where we are headed moving forward. We needed a name to better reflect our organizational power and position, and a name that would be thoughtfully inclusive of all the communities we work alongside. Leveraging our same innovative theory of change, we embrace our new identity: Bold Futures.
We will continue working to build communities where women, people, and families can live and thrive with respect and dignity. Thank you for believing in us, and for your continued support. Together we will boldly build a better future for all.

Our Offices

Since 2017, our Bold Futures team has worked out of two offices, in downtown Las Cruces and downtown Albuquerque.
In New Mexico, Albuquerque and Santa Fe have traditionally been the epicenter of decision-making and political power. By moving our own leadership from the central part of the state to the southern and more rural borderland area, we are intentionally beginning to shift power dynamics within New Mexico’s policy landscape. This shift allows for a broader range of New Mexican experiences to be considered in systemic change.
